Grateful for MY Coach
I never played sports growing up (outside of one season in soccer in 3rd grade), so I’ve never experienced the value of a Coach until I was an adult and wanted support in my life and career then I engaged a Life Coach. Once I had my first Coach years ago, to support me in walking through a potential job transition, I realized the value. A good Coach is important.
During this season of gratitude, I wanted to highlight all of the reasons I’m grateful for my Coach.
She truly is a non-judgmental space where I can say anything. I can talk about what I really want or what I’m afraid of without being judged.
She listens. She listens. She listens.
She is always supportive.
She is supportive, yet doesn’t give me a pass. She challenges me and holds me accountable.
She helps me look at situations from different perspectives.
She holds space for me to work out challenging situations.
She holds up a mirror.
She also points out doors of opportunities.
She helps me slow down and pause.
She creates space for reflection.
She keeps me focused on my goals and what is most important.
She supports me in developing action plans so I can take the next step. And the next one after that.
She reminds me of how far I’ve come and what I’ve accomplished.
Sometimes, I just need affirmation that I’m doing a good job or I’m on the right track. She gives it to me (if deserved).
She doesn’t take it personally when I get frustrated.
She is my cheerleader.
She helps keep me focused on what is most important.
I am grateful because I am further along in living my best life because of my Coach.
Thank you, Cassi!
